About the Role

ScienceLogic is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead multi-process Python development within our Skylar One platform. You will work directly with Product Management to refine requirements for IT monitoring features, build new data collection functionality, and resolve complex defects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and mitigate MySQL and Python performance issues in a Linux environment.
• Implement new feature work across Python, PHP, and MySQL following best coding practices.
• Maintain robust unit tests to ensure software quality.
• Participate in feature hand-off demonstrations for internal exposure.

Must Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of Python development with highly-scalable processes.
• 6+ years using Linux and 6+ years using MySQL (views, stored functions/procedures).
• Experience developing multi-threaded/multi-process software.
• Knowledge of SNMP, SOAP, RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub), and SDLCs.
