Pocket FM is seeking a talented and product-focused Web Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the creation and optimization of high-performance, scalable, and intuitive web applications that serve millions of users daily. You will contribute to building the future of audio storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly responsive and interactive web applications.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery process, from technical design through deployment and ongoing monitoring.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, SEO, and accessibility.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code utilizing modern web frameworks and tools.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.
• Mentor junior engineers and actively participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of experience in frontend development, with strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, and modern web ecosystems.
• Proven experience with state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil.
• Solid understanding of web performance, browser rendering, and SEO best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a good grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and frontend build tools like Webpack, Vite, etc.
• Experience in writing unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
• A good sense of UX/UI and a keen eye for detail.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with server-side rendering (Next.js).
• Exposure to internationalization, A/B testing, and analytics integration.
• Experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
