Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Site Reliability to join our Chennai-based DevOps team. In this role, you will be responsible for automating infrastructure tasks, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the stability of our enterprise-grade software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Ruby, or Go for configuration management, provisioning, and deployments.
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps to streamline testing and deployment processes.
• Perform advanced Linux administration, shell scripting, user account management, and file system organization.
• Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot logging solutions (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk) using tools for data visualization and analysis.
• Manage Git repositories effectively, handling branching strategies, merging, conflict resolution, and collaboration workflows.
• Administer databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL: design schemas, write complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and manage backups/recovery.
• Deploy and orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes (kubectl), managing clusters and ensuring high availability on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in programming concepts (data structures, algorithms) with expertise in OOP principles.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux system administration commands and tools.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Git workflows and version control best practices.
• Expert understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tooling configurations.
• Demonstrated ability to configure, scale, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments including Helm charts and operators.
• Strong SQL skills for writing complex queries and database optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with major cloud provider services (AWS/Azure/GCP) for infrastructure as code and managed services.
