Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python/Go) to join our Platform team in Delhi/NCR. This is a hybrid position based out of Gurugram, requiring presence for 3 days onsite and allowing flexibility for the remaining 2 days remotely.

Sauce Labs powers enterprise-grade software quality through AI-driven test automation. As part of our core Platform team, you will design, build, and operate critical backend services that serve as foundations across all product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-performance backend services for authentication, authorization, account management, and multi-tenant structures using Python 3.12+ and Go 1.23+.
• Evolving public and internal APIs with a focus on versioning, backward compatibility, and performance across global regions.
• Building event-driven integrations over Kafka for scalable data processing.
• Serving as an expert in identity management (SAML, OIDC, SCIM) and implementing robust access control mechanisms.

Technical Requirements

You should possess deep expertise in Python 3.12+ frameworks like FastAPI or Django REST Framework and intermediate proficiency in Go. Experience with modern datastores including MongoDB (schema migrations, denormalization), MySQL (query optimization), Redis, and directory services is essential.

• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestration, Helm for packaging, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker containerization.

Observability & Security

You must be comfortable owning your service in production through advanced OpenTelemetry tracing, Prometheus metrics analysis with PromQL, Grafana dashboards, and large-scale log querying. A 'security-first' approach to all designs is mandatory.
