Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of robust backend services utilizing Python, with frameworks like Django and Flask.
• Develop intuitive and responsive user interfaces using React, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications on AWS EKS (Kubernetes).
• Implement and optimize data solutions using PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora, focusing on high availability and performance.
• Ensure system security by implementing secure practices with AWS KMS and integrating various AWS services such as S3, ECS, and SQS.
• Collaborate effectively with Product, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from initial system design through deployment and ongoing monitoring.

Technical Skills & Experience

Backend Development

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with Django and Flask
• Familiarity with Superset
• Skill in developing REST APIs

Frontend Development

• Expertise in React
• Experience with jQuery
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS EKS (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of AWS ECS and SQS
• Familiarity with AWS KMS for encryption
• Proficiency in Docker and CI/CD pipelines

Data & Storage

• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS Aurora
• Familiarity with AWS S3
• Understanding of PostgreSQL-based search indexing

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Python (Django/Flask) and modern web application development.
• Solid frontend development skills, particularly with React and core web technologies.
• Proven experience architecting and deploying cloud-native systems on AWS.
• Deep understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data performance optimization strategies.
• Excellent leadership, mentorship, and communication abilities.
• Ability to deconstruct complex problems and engineer scalable solutions.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or Helm.
• Background in distributed systems or performance engineering.
• Experience in improving system observability, reliability (SLOs), and resilience.
• Familiarity with Superset or advanced Business Intelligence tools.
• Expertise in security or encryption domains.
