Senior Software Engineer

CyberArk is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join our specialized team dedicated to building a foundational platform that supports all of CyberArk's Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in AWS serverless architecture, AWS CDK, and Python to design, develop, test, secure, and deploy services from inception through to production. Our team fosters a collaborative environment, working closely with security architects, product managers, and other development teams to create sophisticated, advanced platforms that adhere to the highest security standards and non-functional requirements (NFRs). Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Python and AWS serverless technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of platform services.
• Participate in code reviews, drive best practices in software design, and continuously optimize system performance.
• Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a strong preference for Python. Experience with Go, Node, Ruby, Java, C#, or C++ will also be considered.
• Proven experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably AWS.
• Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise-scale applications within a cloud/SaaS environment, with a strong advantage for experience in AWS serverless architecture.
• Excellent communication and writing skills, with fluency in English.
• A passion for high-quality code, robust code design, code reviews, performance optimization, and challenging the status quo.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience working with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proficiency in microservice and event-oriented design and development principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Enthusiasm for code quality, architecture, design, testing, and performance tuning.
• A proactive, highly motivated, and goal-oriented individual with a strong work ethic.
• Solid understanding of security and networking implementation and best practices.
• Experience with modern CI/CD tools, specifically GitHub, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• A self-starter who enjoys learning new technologies and sharing knowledge with the team.
• A desire to explore and deeply understand new technologies.
