We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer
In this role, you'll work across the application stack, translating business requirements into technical solutions, designing and developing software, and collaborating with engineers and architects to deliver reliable, high-performing applications.
Key Responsibilities
Software Design & Development
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Identify impacts of planned work on existing functionality
- Plan and estimate work to be completed
- Design client-side and server-side architecture
- Create high-level & low-level design for functional software requirements
- Perform quick proofs of concepts (POCs) based on client requirements
- Ensure responsiveness of applications
- Develop unit and integration tests
- Create security and data protection settings
- Write technical documentation
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Maintain team player mindset. Work closely with the team lead to deliver assigned tasks.
- Provide technical guidance/coaching to team members
- Remain on the forefront of industry knowledge and share learnings
- Contribute to organization building functions such as hiring, training, mentoring, and team building
Qualifications & Skills
Experience & Education
- Bachelor in Engineering/Technology (4 year) or Master in Computer Applications (MCA - 2 years)
- At least 4 years of Software development experience required
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise-level software development
- Experience developing enterprise software using open-source technologies
Technical Skills & Technologies
- Expertise in Java, JavaScript (Spring Boot/React JS), and RDBMS or NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- Able to perform code reviews and merge Pull requests
- Capable of writing backend and user interface code with equal ease; understanding of DevOps tasks required
- Familiarity with front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML) and libraries (jQuery)
- Knowledge of back-end languages (Java, Python, C#) and frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js)
- Familiarity with databases (MySQL, Cassandra), web servers (Apache), and UI/UX design
- Experience with development tools: IDEs, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle etc.
- Proficiency in testing frameworks like JUnit, Jest, JMeter, Selenium
- Experience integrating with backend systems
