Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Daxko, you will be instrumental in developing high-quality applications and writing exceptional code daily. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and fellow software engineers to build best-in-class software solutions utilizing modern technologies and agile development methodologies. You will also focus on the continuous growth and development of your team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
• Translate product requirements and design wireframes into high-quality, user-friendly features in partnership with product owners and designers.
• Integrate mobile applications seamlessly with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and various third-party services. Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code adhering to best practices.
• Effectively debug and resolve issues related to application performance, usability, and functionality.
• Actively participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements and best practices in mobile development.
• Contribute actively to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in application development using modern object-oriented programming languages.
• At least five (5) years of hands-on experience developing mobile applications with React Native.
• Proven ability to build and integrate with web services and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL or other relational data storage technologies.
• Experience with automated testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing.
• Experience utilizing code versioning tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Understanding of modern cloud architecture and related tools.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or equivalent) in a related field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Applied Sciences.
• Seven (7+) years of Software Engineering or other relevant experience.
• Experience developing web applications with React.
• Experience with NodeJS and TypeScript.
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks.
• Experience working with Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with Real-time Data Streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
• Experience with NoSQL/Non-relational Databases.
• Experience in defining strategies for engineering team solutions development.
• Understanding of Serverless Computing concepts and services (e.g., AWS cloud services).
• Familiarity with AWS Messaging Services (e.g., SNS & SQS).
• Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bamboo).
• Familiarity with frontend engineer workflows and build tools such as npm, webpack, etc.
