Senior Software Engineer (Backend Developer - GoLang)

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Backend Development with Golang, you will be part of the team designing and developing cloud-based offerings for small to medium-sized Pitney Bowes customers. You will lead development within our SaaS ecosystem while collaborating closely with architects, UX experts, product managers, and other developers. Your role involves building highly scalable cloud solutions in an agile environment using modern technology stacks.

• Build optimized, modular, and scalable software applications as a Golang developer.
• Develop back-end components and integrate applications with various web services.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions meeting customer needs.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies into existing frameworks and solutions.

• At least 2 years of experience with Golang (4–6 years total professional experience preferred).
• Expertise in implementing microservices architecture.
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases, including writing complex queries and optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and RKT.
• Basic experience with CI/CD systems like GitLab or Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms AWS or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of Java-based systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Sumologic, Splunk, Dynatrace.
• Understanding of telemetry tools like Prometheus.
