Senior Software Engineer

Join EPAM as a Senior Software Engineer - Java with Spring Boot in our Pune office. You will drive end-to-end systems development in a dynamic Agile finance environment while building strong relationships with business partners and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full software development lifecycle (requirements to maintenance) in an Agile setting
• Create technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation plans for Finance applications
• Navigate a fast-paced environment exposing you to all areas of Finance technology stacks
• Analyze business needs to define process workflows, data requirements, and specifications
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional business partners
• Foster collaboration across divisions and reuse common solutions
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration test cases for robust software

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, RESTful Services, Kafka, Maven/Gradle
• Strong analytical skills for technical analysis and design
• Solid proficiency with relational databases (SQL) and NoSQL stores like MongoDB/Elasticsearch
• Familiarity with the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash)
• Experience using modern libraries such as Guava and JodaTime
• Mastery of test-driven development tools including jUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber
• Demonstrated full-stack design skills in Java/Python/Scala with RDBMS/NoSQL exposure

Nice to Haves

• Knowledge of DocuSign integration patterns
• Familiarity with distributed caches like Geode, Ignite, or Cassandra
• A demonstrated interest in the finance sector
