Senior Software Engineer

About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and AI technologies to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications for our fintech platform. This role involves integrating REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-based services while exploring advanced AI/ML capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop secure REST APIs and integrate scalable microservices architectures.
• Leverage Python for scripting, automation, data processing, and AI-related tasks.
• Troubleshoot application issues, optimize performance, and ensure reliability in a production environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrable proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices patterns, relational databases, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Python for scripting or data tasks.
• Familiarity with basic AI/ML concepts and integration via APIs/tools.

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated experience in FinTech, payment systems (PCI-DSS), or banking infrastructure.
• Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, and prompt engineering for application development.
