Senior Software engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java Full Stack Developer) to join the MasterCard B&MI Technology development team in Pune. This role focuses on designing and developing enterprise applications using Java technologies, with expertise required in both backend stacks (J2EE, Spring 5, Hibernate, Oracle/SQL Server/NoSQL) and frontend frameworks (Angular/React). You will participate in requirement gathering, ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture, and drive product delivery that meets zero downtime goals. Key responsibilities include collaborating on business roadmaps, ensuring PCI/GLBA compliance, optimizing performance engineering for cloud architectures, mentoring developers, and leveraging DevOps tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle within Agile/Waterfall methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and monitor scalable, secure cloud-native applications on AWS platforms (EC2, ECS, S3).
• Craft high-quality code using Java 8+, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Collaborate with business partners to define product roadmaps and drive innovation in digital payments solutions.
• Maintain system resilience, security standards (PCI DSS), and documentation best practices.
• Provide functional guidance and training to application developers while contributing to performance engineering efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, HTML/JS/CSS, SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud native development (AWS), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Chef), and version control systems like Git/GitHub are highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting across organizational levels in a global environment.
