Optum is seeking a skilled Software Developer with extensive Java/J2EE expertise to enhance and support portal applications. This role involves new development, implementing enhancements, and providing production break-fix support. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver stable, scalable, and high-quality solutions that directly improve health outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, debug, and support portal applications.
• Utilize Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIs for development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, and manage enhancement work effectively.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure high code quality.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to meet delivery timelines.
• Document technical solutions and provide clear status communication.
• Adhere to company policies, employment contracts, and directives in a dynamic business environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Java/J2EE development and production support.
• Proficient in Spring, REST APIs, and Hibernate.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
• Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, support-oriented environment.
