Senior Software Engineer (Advertising Platform) – Bengaluru

Roku is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of a highly scalable, real-time advertising platform—critical to powering Roku’s rapidly expanding ad business. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about building complex systems, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality software at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, high-performance real-time applications.
• Own feature development, collaborate directly with product and engineering teams.
• Promote best practices across developers, QA, and infrastructure/operations.
• Drive platform innovation and code reuse.
• Ensure timely delivery of top-tier software with strong communication skills.

What You’ll Bring:

• 8+ years of experience building distributed systems, low-latency applications, and Java/C++.
• Deep expertise in algorithms, data structures, performance optimization, and real-time programming.
• Experience with distributed caching, SQL/NoSQL databases, Big Data, and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
• Advertising domain knowledge is a plus.
