Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, end-to-end technical projects on our core interviewing platform.
• Make significant architectural decisions and drive improvements in technical quality across the team's codebase.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leadership to elevate our development standards.
• Embrace and advance AI-assisted development practices.
• Design and build sophisticated full-stack web applications, prioritizing maintainability and performance.
• Independently manage ambiguous projects from conception to production, resolving architectural challenges.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and improve system reliability beyond immediate project scope.
• Mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing, code reviews, and direct guidance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Analysts, Data Scientists, Designers, and Product Managers to deliver new features.
• Champion engineering best practices such as testing strategies, performance optimization, and technical debt management.

Note: This position requires a schedule that overlaps with U.S. business hours.

Qualifications

• Over 7 years of professional experience in delivering complex, full-stack web applications and distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, React, TypeScript/JavaScript) and web frameworks.
• Strong experience in system architecture, microservices, database optimization, and API development (REST, GraphQL).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps practices.
• Proven technical leadership skills, including mentoring and driving initiatives.
• Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Interest in technical interviewing, talent assessment, or edtech is a significant advantage.

Location Specifics

This role is exclusively open to candidates residing in Bengaluru, Karnataka. While the team operates remotely, we are currently limiting hiring to this specific geographic location. Applications from other Indian cities will not be considered.
