Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize core components of our AI-native database platform. In this full-time remote role, you will work on back-end services, database kernels, and distributed systems features ensuring scalability and reliability across operational, analytical, and AI workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Write production-quality code for high-performance data platforms using modern languages like C++, Rust, Go, or Java.
• Perform rigorous code reviews, debug complex issues in distributed environments, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Partner with product, infrastructure, and AI teams to translate requirements into robust engineering solutions.
• Improve developer experience around the platform within a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Tech Stack: Strong foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience: Proven background in software development for large-scale, high-performance back-end web applications; experience with cloud-native architectures and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• Databases: Experience designing storage engines or database systems is highly beneficial. Familiarity with AI/ML workloads, vector databases, or HTAP systems is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Ability to write clean, testable code; strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in distributed remote teams.
