About the Role: Senior Software Engineer (India)

Key Responsibilities

• Sdk Development & Architecture: Collaborate with a dedicated engineering team to design, implement, and maintain features for existing SDKs or architect new ones as market needs evolve.
• Tech Leadership & Mentorship: Leverage your seniority to cultivate excellent design skills, mentor junior engineers, and rapidly ramp up new hires within the organization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with program managers and product leads to prioritize high-impact customer requests and strategic initiatives.
• Data & Quality Assurance: Enhance telemetry monitoring systems to assess pre-release and live-product health, utilizing these insights to drive continuous quality improvements.
• Core Technical Focus (SQL Server): Drive the enhancement of SQL Server Client drivers to maximize performance, reliability, maintainability, and usability. Refine integration with language-specific data frameworks while adhering to strict best practices during code reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• Coding Proficiency: Strong command of languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Mandatory Requirement: Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

• Demonstrable experience developing with Rust.
• Familiarity with database drivers such as ODBC, JDBC, and similar technologies.
• Proven track record of building API libraries for application developers or creating micro-services on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
