Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Data Infrastructure at Moveworks in Bengaluru, India, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating high-performance and scalable data processing infrastructure. This includes both batch and stream processing solutions essential for day-to-day Machine Learning operations, such as training, serving, evaluation, and experimental systems.

Your responsibilities will involve designing and developing Moveworks’ core data models, data warehouse, and real-time and offline processing pipelines using technologies like AWS EMR Spark, Apache Kafka, AWS Athena, Snowflake, Airflow, and Apache HUDI. You will collaborate closely with machine learning and data science teams to understand their data requirements, shape the data team’s roadmap, and lead and execute projects.

Furthermore, you will build a robust data governance platform for secure and compliant data management, encompassing services for data cataloging, lineage, audit, deletion, and masking. You will also develop and operate an orchestration platform using Temporal and Airflow to enable other teams in developing features and workflows. Additionally, you will build platform and data services/APIs to make data accessible to various stakeholders and for customer-facing data products.

We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of experience as a senior/software engineer, proficiency in Python, Golang, Java, or C++, and experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure). Familiarity with relational or non-relational databases such as Postgres, AWS DataLake/S3, DynamoDB, or Snowflake is required. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field is also necessary.
