The mission is to empower every person and organization on the planet. In Security, we reshape security to protect users with end-to-end solutions. The Purview team builds data governance, compliance, privacy, and risk management tools for Microsoft 365, Azure, and multi-cloud environments.
As a Senior Software Engineer in Hyderabad, you will ensure high standards of software quality, partner on requirements, collaborate on testing plans using debugging/logs/telemetry, learn customer scaling needs, apply security best practices (privacy/safety/accessibility), and raise the security bar while maintaining Microsoft's values.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example producing extensible/maintainable code
- Drive dependency identification and design documentation
- Coordinate across teams to resolve conflicts
- Lead architecture discussions and create proposals
- Innovate through experimentation with new technologies
- Develop scalable, reliable solutions meeting business needs
- Embed operational excellence (monitoring/incident response)
Qualifications
- Master's/Bachelor's in CS or related field
- 8+ years engineering experience (C#, Java, Python) OR equivalent
- 5+ years backend software development experience
- Hands-on DevOps (CI/CD, automation, production ops)
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
