Senior Software Engineer

About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead moderately complex initiatives, contribute to strategic planning, and design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects. This role involves reviewing technical challenges, resolving complex issues, and guiding less experienced staff. The engineer will collaborate with peers and management to achieve goals and act as an escalation point.

Responsibilities:

• Develop reusable UI components, define accessibility & governance, and roll out components across the digital channel group.
• Build applications with strong usability, cross-browser compatibility, web security, accessibility, markup standards, performance optimization, and HTML document architecture.
• Adapt to new technologies to provide the best customer experience.
• Meet deliverable and quality standards across multiple releases.
• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, test, and refine deliverables.
• Adopt Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and adhere to Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Perform code reviews and implement improvement plans.

Mandatory Skills:

• Core UI Development experience with expertise in React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with Unit Testing (react-testing-library preferred)/ TDD.
• Scripting & Automated Testing using Web Driver IO, Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Hands-on experience developing Accessibility compliance applications.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge in Cross Browser Validation tools and performance monitoring tools.
• Experience in AI related tools for code development.
• Knowledge in UX design tools.
• Knowledge in CI/CD, DevOps.
