Senior Software Engineer

Role Overview

The Expedia Product & Technology team builds innovative products using a singular platform powered by data and machine learning. Within the Strategic Partnerships and Affiliates Team, you will build next-generation B2B partnership platforms powering hundreds of thousands of partners from big businesses to micro-influencers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly available, performant, secure services with clear low-level designs, APIs, and data models aligned with engineering standards.
• Lead end-to-end development of complex features ensuring robust automated testing, CI/CD integration, monitoring, and alerting.
• Collaborate across product, design, and partner teams to solve ambiguous business problems and deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive technical excellence through deep code reviews, mentoring engineers, and promoting best practices in reliability, observability, security, and performance.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions into production workflows.
• Own operational health of services using metrics to reduce toil and enhance resilience.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering; 8+ years building distributed systems at scale; expertise in APIs, data models, and modern languages; full SDLC ownership including CI/CD.

Preferred: Experience leading technical design for complex features; operating high-traffic production systems with incident response skills; driving engineering excellence across domains; practical AI/ML integration experience (ranking, personalization); familiarity with multiple cloud-native stacks.
