Senior Backend Engineer (Golang/Node.js)
About the Job:We are seeking experienced Senior Backend Engineers with 8–12 years of backend development experience to design, develop, and operate scalable, event-driven microservices.
Employment Details:
- Type: Full-time
- Positions Available: 3
- Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days onsite)
- Location: Chennai – Siruseri or Olympia Tech Park, Guindy
- Notice Period: Immediate to 7 days
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into clear specifications and API contracts.
- Design and build Go or Node.js microservices using REST, gRPC, and Kafka-based event-driven flows.
- Own non-functional requirements including performance, reliability, observability, and security.
- Critically review AI-generated code and write tests to validate implementation against specifications.
- Mentor junior developers through code reviews and improve engineering quality.
Required Technical Skills:
- 8+ years backend experience with 3+ years in Go or Node.js production environments.
- Strong knowledge of concurrency, asynchronous programming, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka/ messaging systems, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- Experience operating production services: incident debugging, performance tuning, monitoring (OpenTelemetry/Prometheus/Grafana).
- Ability to write design documents/RFCs before implementation.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools and spec-driven workflows.
