Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend services using Golang within a Linux/UNIX environment.
• Adhere to best practices in software development and documentation, ensuring designs meet requirements and delivering high-quality work.
• Demonstrate self-direction and the ability to work independently.
• Take ownership of work and focus on timely delivery.
• Own and serve as the primary point of contact for one or more functionality modules.
• Write clean, modular, and loosely coupled code following software development best practices.
• Actively participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate a willingness to go the extra mile for optimal results.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of development experience in Go and within a Linux/UNIX environment; C/C++ experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in algorithm implementation and advanced data structures for problem-solving, with a solid understanding of computer science principles.
• Proven experience in building complex and scalable solutions.
• Aptitude for finding optimal solutions and generating innovative ideas.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience utilizing generative AI-based tools and IDEs for development acceleration.
• Basic understanding of different AI models and prompt engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of operating systems and system programming (multi-threading, multi-processing, memory management).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing production features.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and loosely coupled code.
• Ability to comprehend end-to-end product functionality.
• Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Shell.
• Experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted coding, automation, prompt engineering, and an understanding of LLM strengths and limitations are highly desirable.
