Senior Software Engineer - Golang

People Group is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Golang to join their team in Mumbai. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about staying at the forefront of web and mobile web development technologies and global trends.

About the Role

This position involves comprehensive management of the development lifecycle, from planning and estimation to execution. You will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant projects by fostering strong collaboration with product management, QA, and support teams.

What You Will Do

• Review project requirements and design specifications, proposing solutions and engaging in discussions prior to implementation.
• Collaborate with team leads on requirements and provide accurate effort estimates.
• Deliver projects punctually within an agile and continuous development framework.
• Work closely with the QA team to resolve any identified issues.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders using tools such as JIRA.
• Partner with other technical staff to maintain consistent and efficient DevOps workflows.

What You Should Have

• 1 to 4 years of professional experience in complex software development.
• Demonstrated proficiency in GO programming, with a strong desire to learn new languages like Node.js and Python.
• A robust understanding of functional programming, microservices architecture, and distributed systems architecture.
• Excellent analytical, time management, and organizational skills.
• A proven ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of new technologies.
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
• A passion for code quality, extensibility, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and straightforward architecture design.
• Familiarity with GO templating, common frameworks, and associated tools.
• Knowledge of JavaScript is recommended.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and both relational and non-relational databases is beneficial.
