Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer Fullstack Developer to join the Intelligent Risk Platform – Data Platform team at Moody's. This role involves building and operating highly scalable data platform services powering Insurance products using modern technologies including cloud platforms, distributed systems, and high-performance application development.

Skills and Competencies

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience developing modern full-stack applications and platform services.
  • Strong expertise in Java, C#/.NET, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native application architectures.
  • Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server), NoSQL technologies, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
  • Preferred experience: SQL Server Database Administration (DBA) and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, scalability, performance engineering, testing, and operational excellence.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams in complex enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain both backend platform services and modern frontend user experiences.
  • Build scalable APIs and cloud-native systems supporting core platform capabilities.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into secure, high-performing applications.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, technical reviews, and software quality initiatives.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges while promoting best practices for maintainability and reliability.
  • Support innovation, modernization, and continuous platform improvement efforts across the organization.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
