Volvo Cars is seeking curious and creative Senior Software Engineers to join its expanding digital team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role focuses on building and evolving the engineering platform and tooling to enable product teams to deliver high-quality web experiences efficiently and safely.
As a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack (Platform Engineering), you will be instrumental in enhancing developer productivity and platform engineering across the organization. Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining developer platform capabilities, owning and evolving CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows, building internal tools and services for developer productivity, improving local development environments, and driving the adoption of engineering standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web application development, and backend technologies like Node.js. You should have solid experience with CI/CD systems, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and containerized development (Docker/Kubernetes). A strong understanding of software craftsmanship, testing strategies, and observability concepts is essential. Experience with monorepos, platform security, developer portals, and AI-assisted development workflows are considered advantageous.
