Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a proficient Frontend Engineer passionate about crafting intuitive, scalable, and high-performance web applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver exceptional lending experiences. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining responsive, user-friendly web applications for Paytm's lending products, translating product requirements and UI/UX designs into high-quality frontend code, and developing reusable components and frontend libraries for enhanced scalability and consistency. You will optimize applications for speed, performance, and cross-browser compatibility, and collaborate with backend teams for seamless API integration. Ensuring code quality through best practices, reviews, and testing is crucial, as is participating in feature planning, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly React.js.
• Solid understanding of state management, component-based architecture, and REST APIs.
• Experience with responsive design and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and agile development methodologies.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Good to Have:

• Experience in fintech or lending products.
• Exposure to Next.js, performance optimization, and SEO best practices.
• Understanding of frontend security, authentication flows, and data protection.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
