Senior Software Engineer

Talview is seeking a Senior Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role is ideal for an engineer passionate about creating fast, intuitive, and scalable user experiences for global hiring and assessment workflows. You will be instrumental in building mission-critical interfaces, leading front-end development initiatives, and collaborating with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver effortless user experiences.

Key responsibilities include owning complex UI architectures, elevating development standards, and mentoring junior engineers. You will lead front-end initiatives, guide junior developers, and ensure UI quality. Architectural tasks involve creating scalable, high-performance, and accessible front-end applications. Deep collaboration with UX/UI, Product, and Backend teams is essential for shaping seamless user flows. Ensuring world-class performance through optimization of rendering, responsiveness, accessibility, and load times is a core function. You will also evaluate and adopt modern technologies and frameworks to improve developer experience, maintain high code quality through reviews and best practices, and champion accessibility by adhering to WCAG and ARIA guidelines. Debugging and resolving complex issues, improving CI/CD and testing pipelines, and maintaining brand consistency across products are also part of the role.

We are looking for candidates with 4-6 years of experience in building modern front-end applications, possessing expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Deep experience with React, React Hooks, Jest, and React Testing Library is required, along with a strong understanding of accessibility standards (ARIA, WCAG). Proficiency with Git, CI/CD tools, and modern build pipelines, along with strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, is crucial. Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills, along with experience mentoring engineers, are highly valued. A portfolio showcasing shipped features or notable projects is a plus.

Bonus points for experience in front-end performance optimization, knowledge of micro-frontends, experience with design systems, understanding of backend API integration patterns, hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Codex), and experience in product-centric organizations with strong cross-functional collaboration.
