Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Platforms at LinkedIn, you will design and develop high-performance, scalable platforms that power enterprise products. You will work on the Enterprise Platform (EP) team, responsible for over 200 APIs, 50+ code repositories, and managing 90+ TB of critical enterprise data across databases like Espresso, MySQL, Pinot, and Couchbase. Your role involves handling 500K+ peak requests per second and managing real-time search infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and scaling distributed applications with synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Developing multi-tier, high-volume, and reliable 24x7 applications with rigorous testing and continuous integration.
• Optimizing engineering productivity by identifying and leveraging improvements in software design and development.
• Building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Ensuring data integrity, performance tuning, and operational reliability across relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experiencing real-time data streaming frameworks like Kafka and Apache Flink.
• Collaborating with multiple product teams to build secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions.

Qualifications:

• Basic: BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, 7+ years in software design/development (Java/OOP), and algorithmic expertise.
• Preferred: 8+ years of experience, deep knowledge of distributed systems, data modeling, and event-driven architectures.
