Senior Software Engineer

The Digital & Innovation group at The U.S. Pharmacopeia (USP) is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic digital products development teams in Hyderabad, Telangana. As a Senior Software Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing and building scalable applications utilizing React, Node.js, and Java Spring Boot. You will also have the opportunity to explore and integrate AI-driven solutions to enhance our digital products and workflows. We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrated understanding of our mission, a commitment to inclusive and equitable practices, and the ability to build credibility with stakeholders. Key technical qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5-7 years of experience in software development, particularly in cloud computing and modern web technologies.

Technical requirements include strong expertise in JavaScript for frontend development, and experience with Node.js and Java Spring Boot for backend development, along with hands-on knowledge of microservices architecture. Database experience should encompass relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, in-memory data stores such as Redis, and familiarity with GraphQL clients like Apollo Client. Experience with cloud technologies, specifically AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway), Docker for containerization, and exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices are essential. Additional desirable preferences include a strong interest in AI/ML technologies, experience with JIRA/Confluence, familiarity with AI-assisted design tools, strong problem-solving skills, and a background in regulated industries like Pharma.
