Senior Software Engineer (C#)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to design and build secure, reliable systems for our customers. You will collaborate with diverse teams using automation and continuous-improvement loops to deliver valuable software changes efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Design and build new features by understanding requirements and collaborating with the wider team.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
- Manage your own time within a self-organising scrum team.
- Estimate technical work complexity for the team.
- Adhere to coding guidelines, best practices, and ensure they are followed by less experienced developers.
About Your Skills
We require a graduate in computer science or engineering with at least 5 years of experience in C#.
- Excellent experience with C#, .Net Core, React.js, and object-oriented programming.
- Solid knowledge of microservice architecture and JSON REST APIs.
- Familiarity with WPF or XAML is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of the defect life cycle and testing strategies (positive, negative, edge cases).
- Proficiency in writing object-oriented code using design patterns.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks like xUnit and Moq preferred.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems; GIT is preferred.
- Ability to work with relational databases (MariaDB or MySQL) including SQL DDL for tables and indexes.
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments.
