Senior Software Engineer

Sasken Technologies Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and porting of Linux BSP (Bootloader, Kernel, Drivers) for automotive-grade 4G/5G NR NAD modules (telematics, V2X, eCall). The role demands expertise in Linux kernel internals, bootloader development (U-Boot/LK), and Qualcomm/MediaTek chipset experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of Linux BSP development for new SoC/chipset bring-up, including device tree and driver development.
• Debugging boot failures, kernel panics, and driver issues using JTAG, oscilloscopes, and crash dump analysis.
• Supporting board bring-up (EVT/DVT/PVT) and collaboration with chipset vendor FAE teams.
• Contributing to BSP architecture decisions and ensuring automotive-grade reliability.

Required skills:

• 6–10 years of Linux BSP development and 3–4+ years in automotive/telecom-grade modules.
• Strong proficiency in Linux kernel internals, memory management, and driver model.
• Experience with Qualcomm/MediaTek chipsets (Snapdragon Automotive, X55/X62-class modems).
• Knowledge of Yocto/OpenEmbedded/Buildroot for custom image builds.
• Hands-on hardware debugging skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, ECT, or MCA.
• 6+ years of embedded project experience in leading firms.
• Ability to learn new skills, organize tasks, and work in an office environment.
