About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Wells Fargo, you will play a pivotal role in leading moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables. You will be instrumental in the large-scale planning of strategies, and will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation of projects and programs. This includes contributions to system upgrades and deployments. You will tackle moderately complex technical challenges, requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving intricate issues and guiding a team to meet evolving client needs, all while demonstrating a solid understanding of our functional domain, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaboration with peers, colleagues, and mid-level management is key to resolving technical challenges and achieving project goals. You will also lead projects and serve as an escalation point, providing essential guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
• Contribute to large-scale strategic planning.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review and resolve moderately complex technical challenges, evaluating technologies and procedures.
• Resolve issues and lead teams to meet client needs.
• Collaborate and consult with peers and management to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance to junior staff.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), or an equivalent degree in a computer science background.

Technical Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience in Microservices Architecture.
• Strong understanding of the Java Collections Framework.
• Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs with JSON communication.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented design principles.
• Strong UI development experience using Angular or ReactJS, with proficiency in CSS / SCSS.
• Good understanding of web application design patterns and enterprise frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing, code quality practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
• Experience with application performance and monitoring tools such as JMeter, JProfiler, or equivalent.
• Experience working with Cloud platforms like OpenShift (OCP) or equivalent Kubernetes-based environments.

Essential Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand and articulate business problems, propose and explain technical solutions, and collaborate effectively with business partners and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives to completion.
