About this Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru. This role involves leading moderately complex initiatives, contributing to strategic planning, and taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will be responsible for reviewing technical challenges, resolving complex issues, and guiding less experienced staff. Collaboration with peers, colleagues, and managers is essential for achieving goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
- Contribute to large-scale strategic planning.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
- Review and address moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth technology and procedure evaluation.
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs, leveraging a strong understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Desired Qualifications
- Good understanding of Axiom objects and functionalities (Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, Taxonomy report, Free Form, Tabular Report, workflow, sign-off, freezing, etc.).
- Experience with modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD Pipelines, Automated Testing, and SRE.
- Autosys (JIL) scripting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Queries.
- Familiarity with Agile processes.
Required Experience
- 7+ years of overall experience in the Finance industry, with a minimum of 4 years in Axiom Controller View V10.
- Experience with major relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, SYBASE).
- Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting.
- Good understanding and experience in client-server applications development.
- Sound hands-on experience in Oracle 19c Database and AXIOM reporting tool.
- Exposure to financial institutions with a focus on Regulatory Reporting.
- Knowledge of finance markets and financial products, including Balance Sheet and Income statement concepts.
- Familiarity with complex system integration and a comprehensive understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle (waterfall and agile methodologies).
- Good understanding of OOP and design patterns.
- Good understanding of US and/or EMEA regulatory reporting and/or Basel Reporting.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Python/Pyspark framework.
- Experience with Axiom Infrastructure Setup.
Job Expectations
Responsible for technical solutions design and delivery across all aspects of the Axiom Development lifecycle for Regulatory Reporting.
