Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and build solutions for complex business workflows in Bangalore's fast-paced startup environment.
• Understand the user persona to deliver slick, localized experiences.
• Take end-to-end ownership of components: design, code, testing, integration, deployment, enhancements, etc.
• Leverage AI tools effectively and quickly for coding tasks.
• Use AI to generate High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents; review suggestions with AI and evaluate accuracy. Use AI to code key components.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code and take full responsibility for deliverables.
• Solve critical performance bottlenecks in scalable systems.
• Mentor junior engineers within the team.
• Communicate and collaborate with management, product owners, QA teams, and UI/UX designers.
• Deliver high-quality results on time to meet startup speed requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in backend software engineering with strong technical leadership exposure (Senior Level).
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong sense of ownership to drive large-scale system design and delivery for automotive retail platforms.
• Expertise in Java and object-oriented design principles tailored for high-performance systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI development tools such as Copilot, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Claude AI, CodeGeeX, Tabnine, MutableAI, Codacy, etc., for code generation and reviews.
• Practical expertise working with LLMs for solution design, integration, or AI-driven development workflows.
• Strong experience building, scaling, and managing microservices-based architectures in cloud environments.
• Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to act as a role model for engineering excellence and enforce strong code quality standards across the team.
• Strong expertise in RDBMS (MySQL) and NoSQL technologies (MongoDB).
• Experience developing enterprise-scale systems such as eCommerce, manufacturing, or supply chain platforms within Bangalore's tech ecosystem.
• Excellent understanding of performance debugging, optimization techniques, and system reliability.
• Proficiency with Java, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS, Spring Boot, Kafka, and the ELK stack.
• Experience building large-scale cloud-based systems and distributed platforms in agile environments.
