Senior Software Engineer

Join our technical team as a Senior Software Engineer in Bangalore where you will independently lead critical projects, driving innovation from concept to deployment under the guidance of your Technical Lead. This role is central to building scalable systems that serve higher education institutions globally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead independent project execution with minimal supervision, applying advanced technical skills and continuous learning.
• Analyze product requirements to architect robust short-term fixes and long-term strategic solutions tailored for the Bangalore market dynamics.
• Create detailed design proposals and project roadmaps presented directly to senior management in our collaborative environment.
• Author comprehensive high-level and low-level documentation, clearly defining impact areas and granular task breakdowns.
• Mentor junior engineers by conducting rigorous code reviews and resolving complex technical blockers for the team.
• Rapidly debug production environments and conduct deep root-cause analysis on system failures to ensure uptime.
• Optimize system performance metrics continuously, tuning applications for peak efficiency across cloud infrastructures.
• Led integration efforts with external service providers implementing retry logic, rate-limiting, and fault tolerance protocols.
• Facilitate strategic discussions with stakeholders regarding feature prioritization versus bug fixes to keep business operations unblocked.
• Contribute to talent acquisition by interviewing candidates for junior engineer roles within our Bangalore office or remote setups.

Required Qualifications:

• Possess 4-6 years of professional experience in full-stack software development, ideally based in the India tech corridor.
• Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset backed by data-driven decision-making processes relevant to enterprise SaaS environments.
• Proven expertise building systems with Java, MySQL, SQS/Kafka messaging patterns, Redis caching strategies, and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Strong experience designing RESTful web services that handle high-volume traffic typical in the Indian education sector.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Angular or ReactJS is a significant advantage for full-stack contributions.
• Demonstrable track record of building ERP software products with solid knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience delivering at least two end-to-end live projects in Bangalore with quantifiable impact metrics on business KPIs.
• Ability to articulate technical concerns and blockers effectively within a hybrid or remote-first work culture common in Indian tech firms.
