Senior Software Engineer - LSEG, Bangalore

LSEG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code, directly contributing to our user-driven requirements. You will develop high-quality, maintainable software using agile methodologies, adhering strictly to team and company standards. Collaboration is key; you will actively participate in planning sessions, analyzing requirements, proposing design options, and providing work breakdown and estimates.

A strong commitment to quality is essential. This includes a focus on unit testing, integration testing, and peer reviews to ensure software meets all specified requirements. You will also be responsible for thoroughly documenting, reviewing, and maintaining all necessary technical reference materials to guarantee supportability and reusability. Regular participation in team status meetings is expected, providing timely updates on your individual responsibilities within projects to your supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with deep expertise in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, React.js, Azure, and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Proven experience implementing object-oriented programming principles.
• Familiarity with various software design patterns.
• Demonstrated experience with Unit Testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Prior knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Excellent understanding of security implications and secure coding practices.
• A proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong drive to complete tasks.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to write clean, readable code and reusable Java libraries.
• Proficiency in using source code management tools such as Github.
• Experience working within a formal agile software development lifecycle.
• Experience with API interfaces.
• Understanding of multithreading concepts.
• Experience with cloud technologies, specifically Azure or AWS.
• Basic knowledge of UI frameworks/technologies is preferred.
