Senior Software Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend to design and build robust systems powering large-scale logistics solutions. You will play a pivotal role in evolving our platform architecture, ensuring it meets growing demands for scalability and performance.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain core services and infrastructure driving Roadie's logistics platform.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure system reliability and high availability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver impactful features rapidly.
• Lead code reviews, drive technical discussions, and champion best practices in software development.
• Take full ownership of projects from concept through production deployment, balancing speed-to-market with quality standards.

The Tech Stack:

• Languages: Golang (Go), Ruby on Rails
• Data Stores & Streaming: PostgreSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka
• Infrastructure: AWS Cloud, Docker Containers, Kubernetes Orchestration
• Tools: Git Version Control, GitHub CI/CD, CircleCI

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Solid expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), distributed systems design, and RESTful API creation.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Golang or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience migrating from monolithic architectures to microservices is a plus.
