Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Backend Java to join our Marketplace Engineering team in Hyderabad. This role involves the design, development, and testing of key programs, focusing on creating high-quality, scalable, and performant technical solutions. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, product management, and the PMO to define product roadmaps and participate in quarterly planning. Engaging in code and design reviews is crucial for minimizing rework and ensuring early issue detection. A key responsibility will be ensuring stable production operations by focusing on uptime, performance, and reliability. As part of a global engineering team, effective collaboration, communication, and delivery are essential.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of software development experience, with a focus on building MicroServices and APIs using Java and associated frameworks.
• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Proven understanding and experience in designing systems deployed in cloud-based containerized environments and orchestration solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microservices, Event streaming, Data pipelines, and related frameworks.
• Proficiency in database programming, with experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results under constraints.
• Deep understanding of best design and software engineering practices, design principles, patterns, and unit testing methodologies.
• Experience with tools like JUnit, Test Driven Development (TDD), Cucumber, Wiremock, and JMeter.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker). Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog) is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Experience in architecting and designing leading-edge solutions with a strong emphasis on security.
