Senior Software Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Authorization to join our Cloud Engineering Services team in Pune or Bengaluru. This role is pivotal in architecting and operating secure, scalable foundational cloud services, specifically focusing on authorization. You will be instrumental in ensuring our massive-scale operations run with zero friction.

As a Senior Software Engineer, Authorization, you will:

• Architect and develop the next generation of our authorization service to meet evolving business requirements.
• Build for internet-scale, emphasizing reliability, redundancy, fault tolerance, and security.
• Create core primitives and onboarding workflows to facilitate easy adoption and integration for teams across NVIDIA.
• Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and operational insights to guarantee top-tier performance and service health.

We are looking for candidates with:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of proven experience in building backend or distributed systems using Golang, Java, or Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.

Stand out with:

• Experience developing Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) or Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) systems in cloud or distributed environments.
• Familiarity with identity and authorization standards such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, and SCIM.
• A minimum of 1 year in a technical leadership role, contributing to architecture or team guidance.
• Experience with modern cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, Envoy, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience or a strong operational excellence mindset.
