What you will do:

Join a critical and highly visible team within the Teradata Vantage platform, where you will have the autonomy to define the technical direction and feature roadmap for AI systems. Collaborate with exceptional talent to shape the team and product execution.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend and cloud-native software systems.
• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of distributed services for large-scale data and analytics workloads.
• Develop next-generation software solutions for Teradata's platform, focusing on efficiency, security, and maintainability.
• Implement modern APIs and microservices for seamless integration across internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with product management, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality, production-ready software.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Enhance system performance, fault tolerance, and observability.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies to refine development processes.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to improve product quality and developer efficiency.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering, specializing in backend development, distributed systems, or AI-powered applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML systems and experience integrating machine learning models into production.
• Exposure to LLM-based applications or AI orchestration frameworks like LangChain or Semantic Kernel is a plus.
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and basic knowledge of model inference and deployment.
• Hands-on experience building APIs, microservices, or data processing pipelines, understanding scalability and reliability.
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), with enthusiasm for DevOps/MLOps.
• Interest in AI infrastructure, including concepts like vector search, RAG pipelines, or embedding models.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building, optimizing, and applying AI systems to real-world challenges.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Eagerness to learn from senior engineers and contribute to building scalable, autonomous AI systems.
