Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

We are standing up a brand new engineering team in Gurugram within our AI Builders Experience (ABX) org to make MongoDB the default data platform for developers building with modern AI frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, and n8n.

The team owns the connective layer between MongoDB and third-party AI tools. You will work mostly in Python and TypeScript, integrating into fast-moving open-source ecosystems while partnering with our core Database Experience org.

What You'll Do

• Create self-sufficient integrations end-to-end: from initial exploratory spikes to production release and maintenance.
• Work autonomously in Gurugram, pairing on hard problems and shipping high-visibility projects with minimal guidance.
• Prioritize product-minded engineering, making pragmatic tradeoffs between speed and maintainability amid ambiguity.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship MongoDB integrations across technologies like LangChain, LlamaIndex, n8n, Mastra, and more.
• Take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them to completion independently as requirements evolve.
• Contribute high-quality code upstream to external repositories you don't own, maintaining professionalism with maintainers.

Team & Culture

• Maintain engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing across versions, and release readiness for a broad portfolio.
• Own the operational health of your integrations: monitoring, upgrades, issue triage, and post-launch support.
• Raise the technical bar by shaping architecture, conducting thorough code reviews, and mentoring peers.
