The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to architect and lead backend services for our Esper platform. You will integrate agentic AI workflows into your daily practice while maintaining elite engineering fundamentals. This role involves designing high-scale APIs using Python or Go, building full-stack experiences with React/TypeScript, driving architectural decisions, and mentoring the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Core Infrastructure: Engineer scalable backend services for massive device fleets.
• Fully Stack Velocity: Build operational dashboards and user experiences with React/TypeScript.
• Ai-Native Productivity: Leverage AI-first environments (Claude Code, AWS Bedrock) and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Technical Leadership: Drive architecture, uphold code quality, mentor teams, and collaborate cross-functionally with Design and Product.

Requirements

• Tenure: 4 to 8 years in building production-grade enterprise software.
• Languages & DB: Deep expertise in Python or Go; Postgres preferred.
• Architecture: Microservices and distributed systems patterns.
• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, GCP, or Azure experience.
• Platform Ops: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
• Streaming & AI Tooling: Kafka/SQS; LangChain/OpenAI/AI agents exposure.
