Senior Software Architect

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the definition and maintenance of software architecture for mission-critical airline and enterprise systems. This role is based in Bengaluru, India.

• Mission: Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and performance across complex distributed systems supporting Copa Airlines' global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectural designs.
• Guide development teams in adhering to clear technical standards and best practices.
• Select appropriate technologies, design patterns, and conduct rigorous architecture/code reviews.
• Oversight of system integration across diverse services and platforms.
• Mentor engineering teams to foster continuous improvement in engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• Core Skills: Strong expertise in Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and modern software development frameworks.
• Distributed Systems: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, APIs, and integration strategies.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in high-availability systems within travel, aviation, or large-scale transactional domains is highly preferred.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for success in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
