NielsenIQ Digital Shelf is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to be based in Pune, India. We empower leading brands to measure and enhance their online performance. Formerly Data Impact, we are now part of NielsenIQ, operating in a dynamic tech environment backed by a global organization. Our Infrastructure team is crucial, building and managing core platforms, ensuring reliability, security, and efficiency, and enabling development teams to innovate faster and more securely.
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in advancing our infrastructure by designing resilient systems, optimizing performance, and implementing large-scale automation. You will join a team that takes pride in owning and maintaining foundational services utilized across the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing, maintaining, and evolving our infrastructure, with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform, and incorporating components on AWS and OVH (bare metal).
- Enhancing and standardizing our CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining our Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and Ansible, alongside custom Bash and Python scripting.
- Managing identity and access (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO), contributing to a security-first infrastructure approach.
- Automating infrastructure provisioning and environment management for both development and production teams.
- Defining and monitoring Service Level Objectives (SLOs), leading post-mortems, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Mentoring fellow team members and promoting SRE best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles within cloud environments.
- Proficiency in GCP and/or AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure automation.
- A strong understanding of SRE principles, including reliability, availability, incident response, and automation.
- Experience working with hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and dedicated hardware).
- Familiarity with infrastructure security, access management, and compliance best practices.
- A collaborative approach, technical leadership capabilities, and a passion for advancing engineering practices.
