Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Cognizant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Reliability Engineering (R2) Engineer with 8-12 years of experience to join our team in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The ideal candidate will be a strong Full Stack Engineer (FSE) with expertise in Java Spring Boot, Angular, AWS Cloud, and CI/CD pipelines. You should possess hands-on experience in software and cloud engineering, with a strong development background and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of resilience strategies to ensure system robustness and reliability.
• Design and oversee audit and monitoring frameworks to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
• Implement logging mechanisms to track system performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Utilize AWS Cloud services to enhance infrastructure scalability and performance.
• Integrate Splunk for advanced data analysis and insights.
• Employ Dynatrace for real-time application performance monitoring.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java 11 and Java 8, adhering to best practices.
• Leverage Spring Boot for creating high-performing, scalable, and enterprise-level applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of resilience and monitoring solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends to incorporate innovative solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Ensure the security and compliance of applications with industry standards.
• Contribute to the overall success of the team by achieving project milestones and delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in AWS, Dynatrace, Splunk, Angular (versions 2-9), Spring Boot, and Java 8.
• Solid understanding of the Property & Casualty Insurance domain (nice to have).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
