Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the Role

Join Seismic as a Senior Cloud Engineer to advance reliability across our multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, OCI). You will work hands-on with automation, observability, and incident response within a globally distributed SRE organization. We prioritize cloud-agnostic architecture to support velocity and scale.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years focusing on DevOps roles (CI/CD pipelines).
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, orchestration tools, and multi-cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, Ansible) and scripting languages (Python, Go, Bash).
• Familiarity with observability stacks (New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana) and event-driven autoscaling.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operational Excellence: Design automation to reduce toil; participate in a 12-hour follow-the-sun on-call rotation across global time zones;
• Incident Management: Lead high-pressure incidents, ensure data-driven and blameless practices, and use trends for proactive risk reduction;
• Reliability Strategy: Partner with service owners for production readiness, resilience testing (game days), disaster recovery, and modernizing legacy workloads;
• Ai-First Engineering: Responsibly adopt AI workflows for alert triage, postmortems, and capacity planning while keeping humans in the decision loop.
