Senior Site Quality Engineer

Primary Talent Partners seeks a highly skilled Senior Site Quality Engineer for a contract position with a prominent power technology client in Columbus, IN. This role is instrumental in driving continuous improvement initiatives to achieve defect-free manufacturing processes and uphold superior quality standards through technical leadership and expertise.

Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to IATF 16949, APQP, and PPAP requirements, performing GD&T analysis, and utilizing PolyWorks for 3D measurement and part validation. You will lead root cause analysis using methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa to address quality issues, serve as a metrology resource, and implement Lean and Six Sigma tools to minimize scrap, rework, and process variation. Collaboration with manufacturing, tooling, and customers is essential for managing changes and resolving nonconformities. This position also involves mentoring junior team members in quality practices and core tools.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related technical field), 3-5 years of manufacturing or engineering experience (automotive industry preferred), and proficiency in GD&T, AIAG Core Tools, and metrology software. Strong communication skills to present technical data to stakeholders and customers are a must.

Preferred qualifications include experience with CMM programming or 3D scanning, knowledge of 6S, welding processes, or Design of Experiments (DOE), and proficiency in Minitab or advanced Excel for statistical analysis.

This is an on-site contract role in Columbus, IN, offering an hourly rate of $50.48. While this contract position does not include traditional PTO or benefits, an ACA-compliant supplemental package is available for enrollment.
