Senior Security Engineer

About the Role

The Senior Security Engineer plays a key role in embedding security into the design and build phases of technology projects at MUFG Pension & Market Services. Reporting to the Head of Information Security Transformation, you will provide hands-on technical expertise to uplift security capabilities across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategic Focus: Collaborate with architects and engineering teams during design phases to ensure early security integration. Translate complex security requirements into practical implementation guidance aligned with business objectives and compliance standards.
  
• Operational Management: Design and implement security solutions across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments (primarily Microsoft Azure). Integrate controls into CI/CD pipelines and manage tools including DLP, WAF, DAM, endpoint protection, SIEM, IAM, Zscaler, Citrix, CASB, Active Directory, Entra ID, Office 365, and more.
  
• Technical Leadership: Conduct risk assessments, threat modelling, and control validation. Serve as an escalation point for complex technical security issues during project implementation.

Mentorship & Governance

You will mentor junior engineers, drive architecture reviews, ensure audit readiness, and validate compliance with internal policies and regulatory obligations including data protection laws relevant to the Mumbai region.

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (Information Security/Cybersecurity preferred).
• 7+ years of experience delivering complex security initiatives across design, build, assurance, and operational transition phases.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud, Zero Trust technologies, Microsoft Defender Suite, Purview, Zscaler/Netskope, CASB, DLP, SSE, WAFs.
  
• Deep knowledge of enterprise identity (Entra ID, AD, SailPoint) and integration standards (SAML, OAuth 2.0).
