Senior Security Engineer

About the Role: Senior Security Engineer, AI Governance

As part of Zoom's Enterprise Security team, you will own the AI Governance program end-to-end, establishing technical standards and risk postures for safe enterprise-wide AI adoption. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in both modern AI/ML systems (GenAI, agentic systems) and security engineering.

Your Responsibilities:

• Risk Ownership: Manage the AI governance risk register across four domains: GenAI, Agentic AI, Shadow AI/Local AI, and AI Gateway/MCP. Conduct Likelihood x Impact scoring drives remediation with engineering teams.
• GenAI Security: Identify gaps in prompt injection, data leakage, model misuse, and output handling; define guardrails for autonomous agentic systems.
• Shadow AI Strategy: Lead detection and enforcement strategies to quantify risk exposure across the enterprise.
• Arcitecture & Standards: Set security bars for AI Gateways and Model Context Protocol (MCP) implementations. Architect reference patterns for LLM integrations and serve as design authority in architecture reviews.
• Cross-Domain Security: Lead assessments spanning Network, Endpoint, Cloud, and Data Security; contribute to incident response and purple team exercises.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 8+ years in security engineering with end-to-end program ownership.
• AI Expertise: Solid knowledge of LLMs, GenAI risks (prompt injection, data leakage), and experience securing enterprise AI applications.
• Tooling Knowledge: Familiarity with Ai Gateways, MCP, CASB/SWG, DLP, and shadow AI governance strategies.
• Influence & Communication: Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority; clear technical writing and verbal communication skills.
